[To the residents of 1248 Williams Road, a new face will appear in the house and all the pictures. This young man doesn't really seem all that interested in anything else from the moment he got off from his bed that he was slumbering in and just dragged himself to whatever that caught his nose's attention. To be precise, what ever smelt good in the ( Read more... )

[Satori stands over the fallen Enkidu and sighs. One or two cats wander over and poke around him.]

Great. Just another thing I have to get used to.

[Those one or two cats will suddenly have a hand on each of them before he would realize anything else. Once he opens his eyes, he'll notice Satori and stares at her curiously.]

... a girl?

A girl you'll be living with.

[He'll slowly get up to a sitting posture and rubs his head gently to nurse that woozy feeling he has. The other hand is still petting the cat like its a natural thing.]

Living with? Why? I don't understand...

...I'll try to make this short. You've been abducted, and you can think of this house as your prison cell. You have to come here at least one day out of three or else you'll be temporarily brainwashed.

We've been assigned family roles as well, and I can only assume that you're the new "father" of the household. Not that that really means anything.

... imprisoned, abducted, father role and weakened. And who are you, if you're inclined to answer?

Satori Komeiji, Mistress of the Palace of Earth Spirits.

The title is useless here, of course, but that doesn't change the fact that it's mine.

My. That certainly is an impressive title... given to who I am and how I am created, it is surprising that you did not exist in my first life.

[He'll be moving up to his feet and then picks up the cat that he was petting earlier and continues to groom and pet it with his fingers.]

I suppose you can call me Enkidu... or 'father' if I am to have a role, although I am still unclear of the situation fully.

Well, the mindless people here - the ones who think they've been here forever - they'll think we're related. That's really all it means. So I'd prefer to call you Enkidu.

...Though, I should probably mention that your other "child" is actually my younger sister, and your new "pet" does actually belong to me.

[He'll let the cat go now and place a hand on her shoulder.]

Then I look forward to meeting with them. If we are supposed to be family then I shall do my best to take charge of the role given to me. Let's get along nicely, Satori.

...That won't be necessary. I don't have any objections to..."getting along," but you don't have to take your role seriously. I don't.

Well then, if the time ever does call for it then you would have no objections, I assume? But as long as we will be living together nicely, then I will have no objections on my part at all.

Excellent. I like cooperative people.

As do I. It makes life a lot more easier in many ways.

Now then. I would assume you would know how we were brought to this place? Summoning magic, perhaps?

Actually, I have no idea. Like you, I woke up in a strange bed one morning with no explanation and have been here ever since.

Well this is rather an odd predicament that we are in. And the sooner we are able to find a way out of this place, the better. I have no desire to stay in a town that I am stripped of my strengths.
