so for some reason i've been on this sports kick lately.  i've been watching all the tennis matches the last couple weeks and for some reason started almost caring about football games that are on tv.  ok caring about them may be an over statement.  a big over statement.  but i have been paying a little more attention.  oh and i bought a jack spade tennis bag at the sample sale yesterday, that's kinda sporty right?  =)  anyway, last night i couldn't find anyone to hang out with and had this strange desire to watch the ohio state football game.  so what did i do?  went to a gay sports bar alone of course!  i was innocently watching the game when a gentleman started talking to me.  i kinda tried to ignore him but he kept talking so i obliged.  turns out he's a lawyer, which is good, but is a jackass, which is bad.  i was being my normal obnoxious/hilarious self so he he kept telling me i was materialistic and accusing me of just wanting his money.  meanwhile he was buying me drink after drink.  he was frighteningly all about me.  he kept telling me i was cute and seriously said both of the following sentences to me:  "I'm intoxicated by your allure."  and, when i accused him of not listening to me, ""I was lost in your gaze."  haha, why do i attract all the damn weirdos?  so after the game was over and i was sufficiently drunk i told him i wanted to go get something to eat.  he went with me and bought my dinner.  all the while he was complaining that i broke all his rules of buying rounds of drinks and how i didn't pay for a thing.  i was like um...perhaps you're mistaking me for someone else.  mama don't buy rounds!  heh... so he walked me home and i gave him my email address and he emailed me when he got home.  i'm trying to decide if i want to email him just for fun or not.  probably not, though, he lives in new jersey.  booooooo!

on another note (well not really, it's still sporty) i just joined a gay soccer league.  i'm supposed to start practice tomorrow night.  haha, i'm getting too butch for words.  i was just telling my brother brian about the league and he said something about how i'd have to be in good shape to compete and i said "no i don't, they're gay!"  he was like so, they're still athletes.  i said well not really.  haha  he was like what is it like the special olympics?  i just found it funny that he was defending the gays to me.  oh and my mom found out i was moving out of steve's apt (i hadn't told her yet, someone else in my family must have) and she sent me an e-card wishing me love and condolences.  very sweet, very interesting, very unexpected.  all for now, getting ready for the us open mens finals!
