I hate Drama.
Yesterday, two Master at Arms (base security) came to question my alleged involvement in my neighbor's wife packing up and moving out while he was away. Security was under the impression that I helped move stuff out of their house, and grilled me on it not once, but twice. Then the third time they showed up at my door, they had a third MA and the Base command duty officer with them.
I thought they were going to arrest me or something. Turns out they wanted to search my house for items that my neighbor reported stolen, most likely by his wife, although I can only speculate. The items in question were two .22 caliber pistols and a Desert Eagle pistol (my neighbor told me about them being missing the evening prior), and some electronics.
I don't blame him at all. Stolen guns are a serious problem, and once he had reported them, security had protocol to follow. I just felt like the bad guy all of a sudden, and my wife was frightened the first two times they came around asking questions.
Then, this morning, I caught one of the neighborhood children beating on my house with a hammer, at which point I politely yelled at him, and told him to go home.
Then, this evening, I caught another neighborhood kid pull down his pants and begin to pee in my front yard. I politely yelled at him as well, and sent him home screaming and crying.
I think I'm going to have to become the guy in the neighborhood that children are scared of, just so they will stay away. I live in base housing, and if any damage comes unto this house while I live here, I pay for it big time when we move out. If the damage is severe enough, we will be evicted...
