I have opinions about nationally televised karaoke contests (reposted from Snarkfest:)
I really, really, really, really look forward to turning on the radio, hearing Kris Allen's first single, and not being 100% sure if it's him, One Republic, Jason Mraz, or John Mayer I'm listening to.
EYEROLL.
I PROBABLY won't be making time for AI next year, unless there's four or five decent contestants (unlike this year when there were 3 good ones.) I appreciated the fact that I could DVR it and run through it in 15 minutes by skipping over the crap. But next year, no thank you. It's not even like I really like the sort of music AI is set up to market, but I guess I watched this year out of weird curiosity. So why am I wasting my time with this crap, especially when I have some Make Me a Supermodel to watch?????
ETA: Jesus Christ Snarkfest, groupthink much? I may need another OTZ backup site for my gossip needs, because I am selling my time share at SN.
