(no subject)
Jack's been getting a little... feisty lately. (He started putting things in the toilet, such as my cell phone.) And I have him for days in a row without a break. And he's sick right now. So I decided that when I get overwhelmed I'd start writing down how I feel. Well, today something incredible happened. I don't know quite how it started because sometimes I just zone out. Usually this happens when I should be paying attention to something that Jack's getting into that's dangerous. (Climbing things, knives... you get the picture). Usually I suddenly realize that he's climbed up on top of the microwave and is waving knives around, but today he was suddenly just sitting in my lap. We were just watching tv, and then there he was. It was really nice. He stayed there for a long time, too. And I thought, this is nice. This is okay. Just sitting, together. It's the calm between the rampages that makes it all worth while.
