Quite a day in fandom for me!
First off, I received MY VERY FIRST FLAME for something I wrote! Three and a half years of writing fanfiction, and I have finally arrived!!!!
I am not in the *least* bit upset by it (oddly enough--probably because it's such a generic flame), so no worries about me. :) I'm quite amused--as my flamer might say--"positively gay"! But what is the protocol for receiving a flame? I mean, had s/he actually criticized something I'd written, I would have left it up there. But since it has nothing to do with my story I suppose I should delete it? Can you even delete comments on ff.net? I think I'd like to. No plans to write back to her/him/it.
I strongly suspect that the flame came from someone who found me through the Avatar: The Last Airbender messageboard that I recently joined. I have been engaging in unpopular shipping wars (I know. I KNOW. It's good procrastination, okay??? *hangs head and knows she can't get around it*). Although, she does know the word manga, so maybe Avatar has nothing to do with it.

I'm impressed that she sent it from a registered account.
The second bit of red-hot fandom news is also Avatar related. A tidbit of visual preview for Season Three, for which I want to mad-hug
a_hollow_year for alerting me to in her journal. Has everyone seen this? Katara means business in that pic. It's going to get nasty when she meets up with Zuko again before they fall in hopeless, angsty teenage love :
