Love's Revenge Chapter 1
a/n: So I kind of said that I will be updating after my exams but I became bored so I made the first chapter. Screw my procrastinating self for ditching my notes. Warning for there might be grammatical errors. Comments are always welcomed! ♥
Another typical day in school, but not for me. I, the almighty Kim Kibum, just got beaten by the student council president that goes in the name of Lee Jinki. To be honest, it happened yesterday but I'm still dreading over the fact that someone was able to defeat me.
Yesterday was just so devastating for me. I immediately skipped school after my fight with Jinki. I couldn't help the embarassment building up on me. He was the first one who made me taste the feeling of losing. Good thing I skipped classes because when I saw myself on the mirror, I really looked like shit. Cuts and a black eye were present in the different parts of my perfect face. I spent my time putting ointment at my injuries on my face.
Now I'm here at school trying to find a way on how to hide the traces of yesterday's failure. I and my gang settled at the back of the school gym, our usual hangout place.
'Maybe you should wear a mask to hide those cuts,' Junhyung stated as I put another layer of concealer on my face. 'To be honest, you're looking like a clown.'
'You dumbass, seriously if I wear a mask, the more people will suspect.' Irritation was still evident in my voice. Nobody should find out what happened to my beautiful face.
'Look okay. I'm sorry I was just suggesting. You need to relax Key. It wouldn't help if your attitude is like that.' Junhyung is right. I need to really calm down. But the thought of yesterday's fight makes my blood boil again.
'Damnit I need to get even with that Jinki guy! You guys I know you have the knowledge about him. Tell me about it or you'll be the ones that will be beaten!' I noticed the recognition in their faces yesterday. They think I wouldn't notice right? Well they wouldn't be calling me the Almighty Key if I weren't really that amazing. I thought. The change of their posture, from relax to rigid, didn't failed to catch my vision.
'Well... Uhm Key... We've heard rumors about him... And...' Dongwoon's hesitation got me annoyed again.
I grabbed him by his polo and pulled him closer to me. 'And what? Don't fucking waste my time.' anger was evident in my tone and this sent shivers to Beast's spines. They know what will happen if they burst my patience and I swear they wouldn't like it if they would enrage me right now.
'Uhhmm... Jinki is not only a student body president but...' He gulped the forming pool of saliva in his mouth and continued. '... Also a black belter in Taekwondo and the top student among our batch.' I removed my hold around his polo and he started to breathe normally again. So that's why they fear Jinki. He is really perfect in any aspects. Don't fucking flatter your enemy! I tried to remove the inner fanboy inside me, squealing about this piece of info I've learned.
'Wait did I heard it right? Our batch? You mean he's the same year as we are? What a small world.' plans on how to get even with him are now formulating inside my head, now that I know the common places where he will be present.
'If I also heard it right,' Doojoon butted in. I'd let him pass this time since it is about that Jinki guy. '... He has the same class as you have. Since you rarely go to classes... Hey wait Key where are you going?’ I got up from my place and kept the concealer inside my almost empty bag (do you really expect I will be carrying heavy books? No way in hell it would happen.) and proceded towards the direction of our classroom.
‘ Where else dumbass? I’ll be going to class.’ With that I turned my head towards the direction of our classroom while my gang stared at me like I’m being possessed by someone. Phase one of my revenge has just started.

‘Well class get your textbooks and flip it to page-‘ I opened the door to our classroom, finding everyone almost present (except for me duh. It’s obvious that I’ve just arrived.) Everyone was staring at me with shock. I know they don’t expect the Almighty Key attending some stupid lecture that everyone finds boring.
‘Well it’s good to have you with us right now, Mr. Kim’ I almost laugh at the formality. I will never get used to being called as Mr. Kim. ‘You can seat at the empty chair on the back row.’ I eyed the empty seat on the back and with Lady Luck on my side I found out that Jinki is my seatmate. I proceded towards my seat, put my bag on top of my desk and sat down in my chair.
‘Okay now that we’re all settled kindly get your books and turn it to page...’ I removed the book on my desk (good thing the school always ask the students to leave the textbooks on the desks or else I’ll be the only one without a book on my hands.) and tried to look interested on the lesson the teacher is discussing.
In my peripheral vision, I should see Jinki staring at the teacher and taking note of everything that he says. Gosh doesn’t he get bored on this type of lesson? He’s hot while taking down note. Aisshhh stop it Key. You’re going to take a sweet revenge on this guy and you’re not going to idolize him. I stared at the clock hanging on the wall. Fucking yes! Five more minutes before I escape hell! Come on ring the bell already. I was so excited that I didn’t even notice what the teacher was telling.
‘...Good luck with your project and remember to cooperate with your partners. Okay class dismissed.’ With that the bell rang and everybody was clamouring towards the exit
I was about to stand up when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned my head towards the person and was again almost blinded by the godly face of Lee Jinki.
‘Hey Kibum, I want to apologize for yesterday. If we want to be in good terms as partners then it’s best that I will apologize.’ Do you think I will accept your apology that fast. Just wait Jinki until we get even. Then I remembered his other statement. Wait what partners? Us? I was about to open my mouth but Jinki was quick to notice the expression of shock written on my face.
‘Just to let you know, we will be partners for the project on Renaissance man and we’ll be making an AVP about it so don’t you dare ditch me or you’ll face the consequences.’ With that he left me alone in the room, disbelief was still evident on my face. Soon it changes into an expression of glee. Things are working according to my plan. A smile is plastered on my face as I exited the classroom.
Just wait Lee Jinki. Soon you’ll be the one tasting the feeling of losing.
