So yesterday we had a normal storm for the rainy season, and the water in my house has been out ever since. It's supposed to repeat-storm now for a while because I guess that hurricane/tropical storm is hanging out near us.

I read in the news that in some other town a couple of houses were destroyed and someone was killed. My teacher says Antigua used to have problems with flooding during storms but they enlarged the teeny river near it to carry crap away.

This is what storms look like when they are coming (this is actually today, so it will probably rain very hard soon).







I was in school when it really started to get bad yesterday though.




Looking outside the street was just a river. Note that these streets are not flat - they are like a very shallow valley, so even though it looks like an inch on the side it's a foot or more deep in the middle.










Does that stop people? Nooooo.










Even guys on mopeds.




Poor tuk tuks :( they have to resort to sidewalks.







It really was pretty strong though.
