Hmmmm...Sundays are good days. I slept in a bit, went to church, had a great lunch. I came home, watered my plants, took a nap, went to church again, had dinner with friends, took care of some more plants, now I'm in bed!
You may notice my latest hobby: gardening! My room is full of flowers- woot woot! Raul and Maria are the potted plants- I can't remember what kind of flowers they are, but they're a dark peach color. A gift from a friend, and absolutely beautiful. I have purple carnations- I don't think I've seen them this color before- on each window sill, and there's one more vase in the living room. Yesterday, I got some seeds and a starting planter, to start an outdoor garden for the spring and summer! I'm so excited. I hope it's okay for me to have a garden- I'll have to double check our lease. I don't think he does much with the "yard" anyway. I planned it out, the layout and all, with the heights, which flowers should bloom when, etc. This will have a white, red, and light purple theme- let's see how it goes!
I think, that perhaps, I am on a path to becoming who I want to be. I struggle with the philosophies of life: Is it more about being than becoming, or becoming than being? I'd like to think that I am a confident, happy person- at least I appear that way. At the same time, I don't ever want to be too content with who I am- the status quo is never great.
Ummmm...Okay, sleep time. Yay! David Jorgenson is coming to visit tomorrow! I'm surprised- we didn't keep in touch after camp, I don't know that we were that close when we worked together at Beaver Cross. He's a cool guy, though, it should be a fun day. When we planned this, we were thinking that Michelle and Cudney would join, but they apparently fail at returning phone calls. Grrrrrr....Anyway, good times are a comin'!
