Sam returned carrying a bag with burgers, fries, salads and a carton of ice cream.

"Hey, hon, you ready for dinner?"

"Hey, Sam," she grinned. "Yes, I'm starving." She slid off their bed and stepped over to the two chair table they'd purchased when they bought the bed. She had already put out napkins and forks. "What do you want to drink?" she asked.

"Water is fine," he said, unpacking the bag on the table.

He really wanted a coke, but he hated drinking them in front of Meg since she couldn't have them.

She grabbed two water bottles from the mini-fridge and put them on the table, really wishing she could have a Coke.

Then she took her seat. "It smells wonderful."

"Burgers," he said. "Just like you wanted."

Never mind that he had to threaten one of the cooks at the Coven to make them.

Meg would be eternally grateful for that too, did she know.

"You're a sweetheart, Sam," she grinned at him and took her burger in hand.

Look? Everything was going great!

"So how were your classes today?" Sam asked, nibbling on a french fry.

"Oh, great," she replied then took a big bite of her hamburger to keep her mouth busy.

"What did you have besides Paranormal 101?" he asked. "I had World History. It was pretty good."

She waved her hand, chewing.

...

...

"World History, sounds interesting."

Sam raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, I think it'll be a good class. I didn't catch what you said your other class was?"

Meg smiled wide and played it casual. "Dean's class."

She took another big bite and chewed slowly, brows raised as she made a show of searching for her napkin.

"What's Dean teaching?" Sam asked. He really hoped it wasn't anything related to Hunting.

"Um. P.E.," she said and took a big drink of water.

Sam nearly choked on the bite of burger he had just taken.

After he finished chewing and swallowing, he eyed Meg. "Are you sure the doctor will think that's a good idea?"

Meg cringed.

"I'm not sure? I mean, I totally thought it was going to be exercising and not dodge ball and..." oops.
