It's barely 9am, and I'm reading the news on my pc when my phone plings profusely with a torrent of messages about the very thing I'm reading about. The exclamation marks and hyperbolic text messages are dizzying and I'm mildly amused by the people who sent them. They wouldn't give a rat's arse about my safety, and I wouldn't give half a rat's arse about theirs.
This is the nature of being popular. Acquaintances and useless connections- it's a load of superficial crap one can do without, haha.
Oh, yes. The shootings. All very tragic, indeed. But so is the
genocide in Darfur.
