You dropped a bomb on me...

I've quickly come to realize that living a few miles away from an Army Engineer training post means that your house will shake and rattle from the random booms and explosions throughout the day. My observational skills are unbeatable aren't they??

I wore a shirt yesterday that I haven't worn since August 2006. I was the lowest weight (at the time) in many years and I wore that shirt to a club the Saturday before the Monday I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. Being able to wear that shirt yesterday really brought home to me the journey and the accomplishments I've gone through in the last year. Losing 55 pounds is no small feat. Once we get the scanner hooked up I will post the pix from the ball back then and the ball now. It's crazy to look at the "before and after" pix.

O and I have decided we are going to do a book thing together. Every other month we are going to select a book for the other to read. He never reads my suggestions and I think this will be good for us to have more to talk about and we can share the books that have touched us with the other. We started it this month. I am reading A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway and he's reading The World is My Home by James Michener. It should be fun. :-)

I just got a text from him saying he's finally done in processing and is on his way home. We're going to go out to Springfield to look for bedroom furniture. Wish us luck!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!! Have a margarita (or three) today because I know I will...with extra salt even! YUM!
