1) First and foremost i seem to post on here most when people are ill or injure themselves and this is no different. My Gran (the one who's never ill) fell over and fractured her hip yesterday. It happened at 10 am and noone found her til past 5pm. Normally I'd visit on a friday but my hours at work were changed so we only knew when we all got home. Needless to say there was a lot of rushing around and she was in a bitof shock and hunger but seems to be okay now but thats her in hospital for this week at least. Fucks sake im sick of hospitals.
2)Work is cool, albeit frustrating. Since its all testing software made in london its prone to going wrong and since we've ran out of things to test we've been doing bugger all when i've been there. Yesterday for example I was paid to sit on facebook for 5 hrs and 45 mins, do 5 minutes of testing and write a small newsletter for 10 minutes. Im basically being paid to go to newcastle for three days a week. Its a good situation i guess but i hate inactivity and as i say its getting a bit frustrating now.
3)I'm trying desperately to keep in with writing but i can feel any chance of doing it professionally slipping away, at least for the next couple of years. There's just no jobs anywhere near what i can do well. Still I guess I'm still young. Good job i'm reasonably single minded. Still my TV column for GIITTV continues on monday with a piece on Dr Who and Ashes to Ashes. Feels great to knock out a long piece at least once a month. It'll have to do for now.
4) God I can't wait til summer. I'm fair sick of being cold and achey and having my joints click al the time. Give me some sun, t-shirt weather at least (and i mean REAL t-shirt weather, not like when you get a bit of sun and all the charvs across the land turn out in vests or topless)
5) Going to Alton Towers two weeks today. Haven't been for an absolute age and it should be full of shenanigans. Reckon getting away for two doays ought to regenerate me a bit 'cos i'm feeling stuck to the ground in shields at the moment.
