5 things III : Return of the bulletpoints

Jan 30, 2010 00:05

Said a while ago i was gonna do some of these things in a rundown of five key points so for your delectation, here's the third one.

1) Just as the jobless limbo of being a specially trained graduate with no job openings was beginnnig to take its tole on morale I would seem to be in within a very good shout of getting a part time media job in newcastle. its only 4 hours a day but the pay is okay and itll give me chance to continue looking for better prospects instead of being sucked into a fulltime callcentre job (almost everyone i know is going to Sky in newcastle). The job is basically watching episodes of The Blue Planet and talking over the top to add tags and if nowt else will look good on my cv for a bit.

2) On the same subject; christ on a crutch the jobcentre is useless. The whole infrastructure is rediculously unhelpful. In my mind it should be like connections, where they offer advice and help. But no, you turn up surrounded by people in their best trackies, someone asks if youve found owt yet from the jobcentre's meagre selection, check youve wrote in a book and dismiss you. Everyone involved knows they were never gonna find me a media job. I'll be glad to be shot of the place.

3)Turns out the crazy chest pains were strained cartilage in my ribcages from when i tried to lift a sofa. Proof, if needed, that exercise kills.

4) If im bored of the slow life my brother is the opposite, he's knackered from his teaching course. He can do it if he stays calm, but he's prone to worrying and getting stressed. only a couple of months left though.

5) Finally, you know i'm not one to send links around the internet unless they're especially hilarious but i urge you all to sign this: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/smear20/ .Someone i know just got diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 21 and even then she had to push for the relevant tests.
