[Now that the truth has finally come out about Badou and Haine's pranks, Nill is one angry little angel. How could they lie to her like that? Nill spent hours hiding Badou's cigarettes all over the house, and days making those clothes for Haine. They just let her do that to get back at the other

[When she's climbing out of the window, someone will be watching her with interest on the next house over. Kurt has been trying to gather his thoughts about how he feels about friends - especially a defenseless one like Alexis - being forced to go to war. This was a sight he wasn't expecting to see. He creeps forward to the edge of the roof next door and dangles his legs off the edge.]

Is the front door broken?

[And here she thought she was being so covert and sneaky. The voice startles her, and she falls the rest of the way down when she loses her grip on the windowsill (...all of twelve inches or so). Though despite being started and falling the rest of the way, she does manage to land on her feet just fine. Maybe with a little stumble.]

[Clutching the bag of clothes, she looks around for whoever saw her climbing out of the window... finally realizing he's on the roof. How did he get all the way up there?]

[Nill looks down at the ground and shakes her head. The door isn't broken, but using the front door would mean Haine or Badou or Mihai would try to stop her.]

Whoa!

[He really needs to stop surprising people. Seeing her fall is a cause for concern and he ends up using the gutter drain to slide gracefully down to the ground. Fortunately it seems she's fine, seeing as she gets back up so quickly.]

Hey, sorry about that. Are you okay?

[Nill watches, her mouth open a little, as the boy slides down the drainpipe of all things like it's nothing. She'll hop around on pews in the church, but she doesn't think she could walk around on roofs and slide down gutters. For one thing, the bishop would be so upset if she ruined one of her dresses.]

[She nods to signal she's okay, but then keeps staring at him. Nill's been around demihumans a lot--and she's even one herself--but she's never seen anyone who looks like this person. The blue's different, at least. The ears and tail aren't new at all.]

[Finally, she realizes she's staring and she looks back down in apology.]

[He can't help but feel a little awkward now. Usually by now, someone is berating him for startling them or freaking out because of his appearance. The quiet reaction? This is new. He's really not quite sure what to make of it, either.]

Ahh, right. None of my business, yeah? I should probably just go. [He takes a step back, ready to let her be on her way.]

[Ah! He thinks she's not saying anything on purpose! Nill quickly sets the bag down and pats at her pockets, frantically, before finding her notecards. She flips through a few of them ('Thank you', 'No thank you', 'Go away, my friend has a gun'... that one wasn't written by her) before finding the one she needs. She holds it out to him.]

I'm sorry, I can't speak--I don't have vocal chords.

[He's a second away from BAMFing away when he sees her flipping through note cards. He's a little confused until he sees what's written. He absently holds the card for a moment, not quite taking it away, before letting go.]

Oh. I didn't realize... Sorry.

[She smiles and shakes her head--it's alright. Nill's had years to realize that this is the body she was given, but she can still live a wonderful life with it.]

[Nill tucks the card away and pulls out her journal so she can write something a little more specific--]

I'm running away because my friends used me to get revenge on each other for pranks.

[She looks at it a moment and adds:]

Also, my name is Nill.

[--and holds it out to him.]

[Funny, he's been coming to that same conclusion lately. He waits patiently for her to write, only to feel a little guilty at her message. Kurt, well, he kind of loves pranks. And he knows that there might have been some people upset at the one he and Mikage pulled. Oops.]

I'm Kurt. Nice to meet you... Nill. [He says it experimentally, "nil", hoping he doesn't somehow pronounce it wrong.] Where are you running away to? [Luceti's pretty small, yanno.]

[She smiles back at him and nods--that's right! She's pleased to meet him too, even if she doesn't have an app a notecard for that.]

[As far as the question goes, though, Nill takes a moment reorient herself--looking up at the tops of the buildings. Finally, she sees the one that was hers and points towards Community Housing 7. She used to live there, across the hall from Rokuta.]

[He glances off to follow where she's pointing.]

Oh, I used to live there. You have a friend there?

[She grins--really? Wow, a lot of friendly people lived in that particular building apparently! It was too bad she hadn't met Kurt before now--but apparently they lived really close now, too!]

[Nill nods and points way up. He's up on the top floor.]

[He's not very good at trying to figure out what she's trying to indicate, but he can do his best to guess.]

On the top floor? I was on the first. Not that stairs are a problem, but Kitty? She would have hated it.

[Nill nods, happy that he figured it out. It was always a little difficult at first, getting people to catch on to her way of communicating. But once they figured it out, things got easier.]

[But for now, they would just have to muddle along. Nill puts her hands behind her head--like cat ears--and tilts her head: Kitty?]

[Okay, that makes him laugh. He shakes his head.]

No no, she's not a cat. That's just her nickname. It's short for Katherine, but nobody calls her that.

[Oh... that makes a little more sense, though Nill could see why small kittens wouldn't like stairs. She laughs with Kurt at her mistake.]

[Though if he was on the roof of the house over, and 'was' on the first floor of CH7, did that mean he lived nextdoor? Nill points at the roof and tilts her head a little.]
