Cambrion?
I contacted one of the refs at Cambrion requesting access to the forums (and possibly database). I've been debating doing that for a while. Actually was harder to do than I expected, but it's all cool. JB and I have been toying with the idea of me coming out to a couple games sometime, though if we do this season, I'd only be visiting and would likely have the boy with me (yay for hiking!!!).
My brothers, JB, and I have been talking about different Cambrion related topics and bouncing stories around, which has been pretty nice. My older brothers, JB, and I might begin sparring on Monday nights in May. I look forward to that.
I've already pretty much decided which character I'd want to play. Kitsune. She would have changed a lot by now, but there are a few factors that can either allow me to play her or make me choose another character. Actually... I might be able to play one game. Hm.
What I need/want to do in preparation is:
- Email with previously mentioned ref about possible changes to the character and certain other character related questions.
- Email about her travelling companion, who would be played by JB. (We'd want him to go to a few events this season so he could catch up with her in levels.) If he were to play that character, I could "drop by" as Kitsune for a little while, as she would check up on him or drop off some items (if that particular event allows such things... I'd check with the refs first).
- Design her new outfit and actually put it together. Yes... she'd need a new one.
- Design and make new weapons.
- Brush up on aspects of her cultural background and get JB up to date with the concepts.
Why not play another character? Well... I'm staying firm that Meesha is semi-retired. By now, she and Elisia would have two kids. Why would she risk not being able to come back to them by going on the trail? Even having Elisia go out without her is harsh, since he's more likely to not return than she is. They both have profession skills that would help them live quite decently without being hired mercenaries or soldiers.
Yulandria is one of those characters I'd need to ease into, mainly due to her skills as a mage. It's hard to remember all those darned spells when you haven't played that class in so long! The other characters that I have aren't as tempting either, except maybe Cassandra (my healer). I don't see any being particularly interesting to play. No... not even the psychopathic character is all that tempting right now. I'm not really interested in starting a new character eitehr.
Nah... Kitsune would be my first choice and would be the most interesting and probably the most fun. The changes she's gone through over the years would make her even more interesting, I'd think.
