As promised I will talk about my thoughts regarding Torchwood season 3 or "Children of Earth". But before I start with the many many thoughts I have about this, I will start with this meme:

I totally know what you mean about snow making everything quiet though. I really miss that soft blanket of silence that a really heavy snowfall seems to bring... *__* ...I also love the way Italian sounds. ;) And so yes, I would say that these answers are quite satisfactory. :D
I also totally agree that COE has some great moments for Jack and Ianto. I absolutely LOVE that scene with Ianto and his sister, where they're talking about Jack, just... The look on his face when he says "he is very handsome". *melts into puddle* GDL has such an expressive face--I swear, his eyes alone just speak VOLUMES sometimes. *__*
Anyway~ Yes, despite how it ends, I do think that there are some great moments, and that's what makes it so heartbreaking, in the end, because you see how they're progressing into an actual relationship, and then... It's just over. ;__;
And yes, I have watched all of Doctor Who. Have you watched the latest series? :D
As for the fandom, it's really been great so far--everyone's super-friendly, so feel free to just...start talking to people! tw_gleeclub is a great place to meet people spazzing about the new series, and in general, I've found that people are pretty open to discussing things, so... Yeah, I'm glad you joined all those comms! (If you want fic recs, btw, try tw_spotlight, and tw_house too, if you haven't. :D)

It's true, GDL (lol, I like how you shorten the names "RTD" and "GDL", hihi) has an amazing talent of expressing emotions purely by the look in his eyes. Which reminds me that he looks incredibly heartbroken most of the time he looks at Jack in COE. Except at the end, when Jack finally decideds to stand up to the aliens...but I've said that before and my eyes are just getting wet if I continue thinking about it *sigh*
I have watched all of Dr. Who season 2 (the first one with David Tennant and the last one with Billie Piper, who is amazing btw). Right now I am watching season 3 with Martha Jones as the Doctor's companion. I like it so far, Martha Jones is really pretty *__* I also took some pictures of my awesome DVD box which I wanted to post about on lj but I doubt I can find the time to do it before I have to leave for Germany, meh. My boss just said that she doesn't like David Tennant because he reminds her of her brother too much...hm, I should get to know her brother XD Which Dr. Who seasons have you watched? What was your favourite moment and who is your favourite character? =)
As you might have noticed I dared to post something on the torch_wood group yesterday. And I had a little exchange with the girl who posted about the Dr. Who experience. Very nice so far, maybe I'll introduce myself to the fandom? I'm not sure whether torch_wood_cafe or tw_gleeclub is the right place for this *ponders* I shall check out your recommendations, might not have time for it this week but if I have a minute while I'm in Germany I will look into it.

I've watched all of the new DW series so far. *nods* The season with Martha is one of my favorites--she's probably my favorite companion for the 10th doctor, despite... Well, I don't want to spoil anything, since I don't know how far you are, but... She sort of gets short-changed, I think, despite being so awesome. ;) Donna is great too though, and actually, she was the first companion I really loved (because at first I started watching DW totally out of order--started with season 4 and Donna, and then went back and watched it all in order starting with the 9th doctor, and I watched last season when it was coming out, so I'm caught up now). You need to see the 11th doctor, I think. ^_~ I was completely in love with David Tennant, and thought no one could replace him and make me happy, but... GUH. MATT SMITH IS AMAZING. (See my icon. :D) ♥
And my favorite moment? That you've already seen--probably the scene with Rose at Bad Wolf Bay, which completely breaks my heart every time. ;__; And then there are some really great moments at the end of the 4th series, with the Master, but I don't think you've seen those yet? So I won't say anything. ;)
I saw your post! That was a fun little interview with Eve. :D
And as for introductory posts, the only comm I've really seen that done on is jackxianto, and people have been really welcoming there, from what I've seen. tw_gleeclub has had a few friending memes, but I don't usually see people just introducing themselves there. And I don't follow torch_wood_cafe, so I'm not sure about that... I'd try jackxianto though--I think most of the active people are on that comm anyway. ;)
(Sorry for my edits! @_@)

Yes, I totally agree with you, the scene at Bad Wolf Bay broke my heart! I mean, the Doctor was about to say those three words and when he's cut off and you see him in the Tardis, tears running down his face... *sobs* Knowing that I've set foot on exactly that beach makes me very happy ;-)
When I'm back from my holidays or maybe while I'm there (depending on how much time I have to spend online) I will give it a try and say hello on the jackxianto group. I think fangirls are usually always really nice when a fellow fangirl joins them, just like in the old days with the TxN fandom =) Maybe I can even find some fangirls who live in my area and we can meet up, that would be awesome! Do you know anyone from those groups who lives in the UK?
Alright, I better get to work now. Get well soon and we really should do another voicechat sometime, you'll be surprised at how my accent has changed ;-)

I really love that episode with Van Gogh. It's one of my favorite DW episodes, I think. *__* What made you think it felt like a kid's show? I thought that one had some darker themes, really...
And yeah, I know there are a lot of people in the UK on that community, for sure. :D I don't know about their exact locations, but maybe go through the archives and look at some of the friending memes that have been posted? There was one not too long ago, maybe a month back. Because there, people say where they're from and everything... :D
I hope you have a great trip though, and yeah, we should talk when you get back! (Do you have a British accent now? *_*)
