Lol, knew I was going to get behind.

Ho boy. I wasn't sure for a while if this meant the song I like the least ever, or a favorite song that is my least favorite. I'm going to go with the former option. "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood is my least favorite song - as in a song I freaking HATE.
Listen to how it begins - "Right now he's probably slow dancing with a bleached-blond tramp wnd she's probably getting frisky . . ." Key word here is "Probably". PROBABLY. As in, she's not certain this is really going on. She is at the bar, outside of it where the car is parked, and thinking this of her boyfriend. No proof whatsoever that he isn't inside throwing darts and simply talking crap with his buddies. Nope. He is at a bar. Which means he is OBVIOUSLY CHEATING ON HER SOMEHOW. But she doesn't need proof - no! She just Knows Him That Well.
So, her method of revenge? Smash up his car. And carve her name into the seats of the car. Bet she'll feel real good when she gets home. And bet HE'LL feel real good when the cops show up two hours later, arrest her, then make her pay for a new 'pretty little suped up 4 Wheel Drive.' If he wasn't cheating on her already, he sure as hell will dump her ass for another blond chick now.
I almost wondered if maybe he wasn't going out with her to begin with. Maybe she was his secret stalker. Following the guy to a bar and smashing up his car certainly seems like stalkerish behavior, doesn't it? It seems to me, if a guy is cheating on you, then he's not worth going to jail or getting fined over, especially if you're stupid enough to CARVE YOUR NAME in the leather seats! Dumbass bitch. *grumble* I could rant forever about this stpuid song. I hope Weird Al makes a parody over it . . . perhaps titled "Maybe Some Parents Should Think (Before They Breed)"?

I just have to say . . . that Lenka is ADORABLE. The song "Don't Let Me Fall" has sort of a bittersweet tang to it, and yet it's so relaxing and sweet and bouncy. It makes me happy because no matter what kind of day I am having, I can listen to it and kind of just chill out and imagine anything I want.
A lot of her other songs I love dearly, like 'Knock Knock' and 'Anything I'm Not'. Her music is the kind of music I wish I'd had while growing up.
Fan Video of Ludo's "Morning in May" from

Okay . . . this is the part of Ludo's 'Broken Bride' album that makes me cry. 'Morning in May' is the last track of the rock-opera in which a man builds a time machine to save his wife from a car accident. First he goes back too far - to the time when dinosaurs roamed. Then he fixes his machine and goes forward too far, to Apocalypse. He manages to kill the Dragon and save all the people of the world, but at the cost of his own life and the destruction of his machine. God then tells him he has saved the people and stopped the Dragon, but asks "why does his heart still scream?"
He begs to be allowed back to see his wife - just so he can at least say goodbye. God grants his wish and 'Morning in May' starts when he is suddenly in the bedroom (CRAP I'm getting all teary just TYPING about this. I am apparently made of marshmallow creme lately. -_-; ) while his wife is sleeping, on the same morning that she was supposed to get killed in the car crash. He lays beside her and just holds her . . . and . . . well, just listen to the song. Have Kleenex nearby, and then eat some chocolate if you need to.
Anyway, here's the video . . . yes it's a music vid I found on Vimeo. I couldn't find just the song with lyrics, which ticked me off. There were vids of the band playing it, but the sound quality was crap. But this one seems very well done. Can't watch it or I'll probably cry. -_-;
Rachel played it for me as we were driving to Seattle for our anniversary trip. I almost had to pull over because I was freaking BAWLING too hard to drive. XD; True story.
