Slacking sucks

I am so pissed off at myself. I have to do an animation for my Capstone and I've just . . . I've just been an idiot and procrastinated and procrastinated. Now I can't show my stuff at Capstone festival. I guess it doesn't matter, but dammit to hell . . . I kind of wanted to see people's reactions. I was telling myself it didn't matter, that I didn' ( Read more... )

well my year there was a major capstone festival drama fest.
the group consisting of Nick Rini Aaron Ravel and Kris Gaurd did get their capstone turned in time. they made a big stink about it, and acted like lil'babies.. they didn't get it in and kinda made themselves look foolish. 2/3 didn't show up for the festival themslves which was kinda lame.

if it happpned. capstone festvial meant a lot to me only because of how much of my life leading up to that point was devoted to capstone and TAT itself. I basicly quite Anime club to make my TAT career the focuis of my everything my last few years at csumb. for me the festival meant a whole lot. but I really placed TAT and my capstone above all else. i spent over 2K of my money on it and endless hours... my capstone was my entire fucking life for last 1.5 years in that school.

is your capstone that importent to you? honestly it doens't sound like it. and this is not a bad thing at all!! it's just different priorities. Capstone festivals are importent if they matter to you personly. if it's not a super big big deal to you, then finnish your capstone (so you can pass/graduate/get out) burn it on DVD show it to your family the night before fest and just go for the 2ed 1/2 of fest teacher (whats the word...) talk outs? where they talk about you. it's nice to go to festival to support fellow capstoners, but again, for me it was a very different experince.

i hope that cheared you up in it's own way. I don't want to lie about anything, but it sounds like your priorites were very different then mine. i am currently in LA trying to make the TAT thing make me money.. you sould like you have other plans, and that is compelely cool and equel

Wow. sounds like a drama after all. @l@;

And yeah, capstone festival didn't matter so very much to me. Just passing/graduating mattered. I am hoping to submit this to online places (atomfilms, etc) and totally am going to watermark it or something so they can't steal it. XD I heard ebaum's world is a prick about that.

But yeah, I only went to a capstone festival whenever I knew my friends would be there which is lame of me. Totally lame. But I didn't know anyone else. @.@; And now everyone I know is graduated already. :(

My plans are to move up to Idaho for now. I'll still do animation - but I'll distribute it myself, just because I like to do it. I hope to write books and illustrate them, and I'm taking classes to be a teacher when I save up for tuition upstate. Would've gotten my teaching license here, but they make you learn so damn much. -.-; Too much. I'd be here another 2 semesters.

You cheered me up, totally. Thank you, Shey. ^_^ I feel bad for not keeping in touch with you. I even still have drawings from 'Masks and Daggers', if you want me to ever find/finish them.

to clarify on what I said about learning >>

they make you learn too much liberal stuff. Like spanish/ Spanish children's literature. I don't need to take 5 courses in Spanish if I'm moving to Idaho. XD;

I need a lot of refresher courses on how to teach Math, though. Science is awesome, I love science, and literature. Math I'm good at doing, but I'm not good enough to teach it I don't think. Not yet.
