Do you cook at home?

A photograph that was taken of me on July 4 now graces my frig. You know how someone takes a picture of you in the dark and you don't have time to smile nice? (I looked retarded, is what I'm sayin'. Makes me wanna run to the phone and book a neck smart lipo, stat.) I asked for my friend to send me a copy of this pic, and I would put it on my frig. I happened to read my mail and find it last night as I was trying to decide if I had the munchies, maybe go to the store for a 'splurge'. OK. So I went for a walk instead.

I often go out for food when I already have a frig full of groceries. I don't know why I do this, because I like the stuff in the frig... So today I decided it's probably because it's not "ready" or whatever. Plus, there's the whole party feeling thing when I go out for food. Maybe I can make a party instead out of cooking at home. At least chopping and preparing it. And I've been wanting to get an indoor grill top and a juicer. I'm haunting eBay and craigslist.

So today I got some new gladware with my produce and prepared some stuff that would probably have languished in the frig for a few days otherwise. Chunky Tuna salad with veggies. Washed strawberry halves. Fajita salads with black beans, red sweet peppers, shredded cheddar, and some cilantro dressing I got a recipe for. (http://www.recipezaar.com/115346)

I've become fond of http://www.RecipeZaar.com It's easy to see which recipes come out well, because other readers review them, plus there's a forum and photos... all good. Mostly my tastes run to mexican and thai. I saved alot of recipes that use coconut milk. Always wanted to make jasmine thai rice with coconut milk.

Here's a couple others I want to try:
Crock Pot Curry Chicken with Coconut and Peanuts http://www.recipezaar.com/37033
Let's retitle it "Please Don't Read Me The Fat Grams Curry Chicken" LOL

"To Die for" Crock Pot Roast Beef (843 reviews!) http://www.recipezaar.com/27208
