Just got back from University Hospital where I had a CT scan to see if I have a kidney stone. This may be bad but I honestly hope they find something. Why the doc yesterday didn't think I was still sore from the surgery, I don't know, but one thing they are not going to do is tell me that I have to continually be in pain because they don't know what's wrong. I also feel really sluggish, listless or something today--I don't know if it's because I took that medicine yesterday for nausea and it made me sleepy and dizzy or what. I'm drinking some coffee and I'd like for my head to clear up so I can write. I hope I'm not in pain tomorrow when I go back to work. I hate feeling like such a slug.
The writing challenge I want to work on tonight has to do with light--trying to brainstorm ideas right now and am giving Muse a good kick in the butt. Should probably get off the comp and go lie down and read. Tom got outside again so I've got to go do a wild-cat chase first. Ugh. I thought when I got Tom another cat to play with, he'd stop wanting to go outside.
Good news is we got our preapproval for our mortgage. We're approved based on verification of Art's overtime and getting Wachovia to list that one account of Art's as paid off, since it's listing it as "open" although we paid it off four years ago. *eye-roll* As soon as we fax that over, Mulvaney will start building our house. I'm looking forward to this summer--being in a new house with more space, with three bedrooms and two and a half baths, a garden tub in the master bath, a larger kitchen, a little back yard where I can plant flowers. No neighbors above or below, no sharing walls with neighbors next door.
Trying to get Tom to stop eating Boots' kitten food--Boots gets hungry and Tom is getting fatter. I've tried putting it up on the counter but Tom finds it anyway. Little rascal.
