If you've ever wondered what the aftermath of a hurricane smells like, I can tell you, it smells like burning gasoline. The gasoline used to fuel the generators that litter the lawns of all my neighbors... and their neighbors neighbors... and mine too

We RARELY have earthquakes that are as destructive as the hurricanes you guys experience. Even when we have major earthquakes (less often than 25 years), all buildings are built to certain standards, so you are likely going to be completely fine.

In any case, I really hope you get your power back soon. I'm thinking about you guys.
