my medical companion pet Dafne is dieing of liver failure. She apparently got depressed, starved herself, and as fat as she was, her liver began to eat the fat and got clogged. Vet verified that it is NOT old age, and her breed should last till her 20's at the very LEAST!! I got her 3 months after Alex was born, so both my sons have been raised

It looks like your post was removed from Cathealth. I suggest talking to your vet about doing a contract payment plan. Many vets will say no way, but you might be able to talk them into it, especially if you can give them a good faith payment. Also look into CareCredit. You can apply online OR at your vet clinic, if they accept it. if your vet is not willing to work out a payment plan, try calling around to other clinics in your area and ask what they would charge for the same treatment. You might be able to find a cheaper option. Also, you might try checking local universities and vet schools. See if they can treat your cat for a lower cost.

may I ask how much is owed?..

to get her hospitalized for a full week at least, will run anywhere between $450-$500. Iv made an agreement with the vet that anyone who calls in with ANY $$, to just add it to the pool to see if we can rack in enough in time before she dies.

I have another suggestion.. you may have done this already. But post to Craigslist in your area and maybe a few other areas.

yes, i posted under pet, and wanted. one of them has already been flagged down by someone that obviously has no life and nothing else to do but to annoy others.
