PERMISSIONS POST (for vatheon)

Oct 15, 2020 14:18

Delirium, from Neil Gaiman's critically-acclaimed Sandman series, is part of an anthropomorphic family of natural phenomena called the Endless. All of them possess a certain level of omniscience and omnipotence, and are pretty much god-mods in that sense. However, they can't practice that same authority in RP, so! Please copy-pasta the permissions form and comment on this entry so as to avoid any god-modding in the game :) Thanks a plenty! You can be as specific or as general as you want with this, but if you were patient enough to give me the blow-by-blow details, that'd be appreciated~.

YOUR CHARACTER CAN KNOW OR RECOGNIZE DELIRIUM WHEN:
» They are in a state of insanity (or they were) in canon or in Vatheon. Insanity here works as a term for general craziness, and I'm talking about mental institution, hobo-on-the-street crazy.
» They know someone or they are close to someone who is insane.
» They possess a mindset that is similar to insanity, or at least to the point where they cannot function normally. (E.g. strange obsessions, an actual sickness, traumatic event that changed how they thought, etc. There's a very thin line with strange and insane, so this is up to you really.)

NAME&JOURNAL: Says it all.

CAN DELIRIUM KNOW YOUR CHARACTER'S STORY/BACKGROUND, AND IF YES, HOW MUCH CAN SHE KNOW? This applies only to characters who have the previously mentioned qualifications. Like I said, you can be as detailed or not with this, or to be specific, you can just state the important facts about the character that Delirium can know. If this doesn't apply to your character, just skip it or write N/A on the form.

WHAT CAN DELIRIUM KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER? This is for every character. Though Death is the only Endless who knows everything about everyone, some Endless know at least the names or faces of the mortals they meet. Same goes here; what basic details can Delirium recognize or know about your character? How much is she allowed to know?

HOW OPEN IS YOUR CHARACTER IN REGARDS TO CONFRONTING DELIRIUM? If ever a confrontation happens and Delirium is provoked -- and lol is that easy to do -- can Delirium mess around with your character? In canon, she made a police man think he had a thousand insects crawl all over his body, and at the end of the story, he was driven insane by it and was strapped to a bed in an institute. This is some pretty serious stuff, so this part of the form is really important. Is your character open to confronting Delirium, and if so, will he/she be subject to the same kind of treatment? It won't be as horrible as in canon thanks to the coral watering down powers, though. And if you answer yes, please give me a specific time period as to when the effects of Delirium's powers will end - I'm thinking a week at most.

Here's the form:
NAME&JOURNAL: Name of Character Here | .

CAN DELIRIUM KNOW YOUR CHARACTER'S STORY/BACKGROUND, AND IF YES, HOW MUCH CAN SHE KNOW?

WHAT CAN DELIRIUM KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER?

HOW OPEN IS YOUR CHARACTER IN REGARDS TO CONFRONTING DELIRIUM?

IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE!: If your character is from the DC Comics universe, there are higher chances of recognition from either of the two, as compared to characters with fandoms from Animanga or Video Games and the like. You can point that out in the form as well.

Thanks for filling it out! :)
