AU Star Trek
So all this Star Trek love going on all over has me thinking...
The entire movie, once you realize that Nero has changed the past is AU... up until the point that they don't travel into the future, stop Romulus from blowing up and make everything happy again.
Nope... they didn't fix things.
This means - ALL the Star Trek we know (except for Enterprise) is now AU - it no longer exists.
Kirk and Spock and the rest of the crew meet WAY earlier than they have, Kirk's Dad is WAY dead, and ALL of friggin' Vulcan is destroyed. No more Vulcan! The Cardassians, the Feringi, all discovered - Nero's ship super-charged Starfleet into stuff because it was so damned advanced. That's why the ship looked different.
This changes pretty much everything in Trek, not to mention the fact that no one on the crew ever meets Spock's Mom - there are now two Spocks
and did I mention Vulcan blew up? Because it did, and with it, everything we once knew as Trek - the ENTIRE 40 years are now AU
