Ranty rant
So yeah - this is not about voting...
Anyhoo - so I was reading this story and it was pretty good and around 20 chapters ago (its over 30 or so now, see second part of rant) and it just started to get totally preposterous. I mean... seriously. Each chapter ends on either throbbing members (one of my all time hated terms) or on some ridiculous cliffhanger that I assume is supposed to be TOTALLY awesome but ends up being more and more insane. Its just getting overly bad.
And what is with authors who write (no, I'm not calling it a fic, the damn thing is a story) having some insane aversion to writing chapters that make sense. I'm tired of reading some 'chapter' that's like 500 words long, divided into one sentence paragraphs that are called chappys and don't go anywhere. I'm tired of WIPs being posted. I'm tired of some author going, 'its done! but I'm only posting 1 part per day.' I mean, the thing is finished, post the whole thing.
I'm tired of authors going, I'm not getting enough feedback so I'm abandoning the entire story. I'm tired of readers going.... BUT NOOOOOOOOO! Its my favoritist story of ALLLLLLL time! You must finish.
I'm hating the current trend of writing some bizarre AU that just reads like a harlequin romance novel, that takes place in 1840's England on a cliffside.
I'm tired of 40 and 50 year old virgins.
I'm tired of badly written sex scenes that involve 'mounting members madly moving.'
And did I mention the crapola day at the office?
