So in my last post, it was drizzling and depressing outside. Today I raised my head from my little hole a sniffed the air. Is it possible that spring has finally sprung? The weather feels warm, and the air smells fresh (at least to my Beijing acclimated nose), and the sky looks (relatively) clear. But with Beijing, who really knows! It can change in a second. Anyway, Happy Easter everyone! If people don't know, I have a bunny now named Admiral Archibald Poosh 饱饱 (bao bao). It's his day, and he says happy Easter as well!
Anyway, as for classes, nothing really interesting. Except on Friday, I was unexpectedly struck down by sickness. I have this uncanny knack to get sick before these major TBC holidays. Last Thanksgiving I was taken down by a fever, but I got well enough for the dinner. This time, I think I'm well enough to go to the brunch today. I have no idea what it was because it seemed like a mixture of food poisoning and the flu. I was in bed all day Friday achy and weak. Yesterday was another recovering day (first day of real food, yay!) and basically lazing about. I'm going to suffer for Chinese though since I only went to two classes this week and I'm not even sure if we have a test on Tuesday or not...
In other news, I have another trip on the way! I know when the Sichuan trip ended I had a little bit of a freak out because I realize that I had been on all four of the planned TBC trips and I didn't want my travels around China to end. Luckily, me and two other plucky guys will make the trip down to Hong Kong and Macau the week before finals, which is called "study week" but most students take it as a "travel week". we still have yet to get transportation down (we're debating between planes and trains) but we have the hotels/hostels booked! So I'm really excited for that. If anyone has any suggestions where to go/see/eat in either place, let me know :)
So now I'm off to make myself presentable for this brunch after living in my pajamas for two days and looking like a zombie.
