"According to the guard I bribed, the back way to the dungeon is behind that building," Rose whispered.
Jack grimaced. "I'll have to bluff on through. Wait here."
Rose, who was scrutinizing the building, suddenly grabbed his departing collar. "Oi, actually, I should do it."
Jack made an impatient noise. "Rose, I'm the one who can't die."
"I really think-" she insisted.
"I need you free to rescue us both if I fail." Ignoring her aggravated look, he left.
Rose watched Jack-the-hero sneak to the harem house, listened for the uproar, and sighed. Harems here didn't even have male servants.
