the retreat was really awesome. really... emotional and just awesome. i'm so not a religious person, but i don't know. it wasn't even about religion really though. it was just, i don't know. we all like came together. everone. like our whole grade, and with the letters they gave us from our family, i don't know... that made some people feel like connected to their parents, or just made them really really upset. the whole trip was ups and downs. some things were hilarious. i laughed. so. hard. then like an hour later, everyone in tears. people really don't have the perfect lives i thought they had. it was so amazing, people just not even caring.. just letting their fucking makeup run. even guys forgetting about their macho-ness and homophobia and just letting it go. exposing their hearts, even if their problems were trivial. still. just really really cool. we did this thing with candles too, and i'm not a crier or religious or emotional at all, but it was just beautiful. i'm not a sap.. i swear... it was just awesome.
this guy, barry kingston, playing all these songs. he was an amazing guitarist. so good. he played while we did the candles, and this other thing with water. they were both confusing. everything this weekend was. i really liked it though.
i'm not like enlightened or whatever, but it was just an eye-opener.
