This has been going around, and I thought I'd join for the heck of it. Cause I feel I need to.
My favourite episodes ever, as I will repeat over and over and over again until I DIE, are the Impossible Planet and Satan's Pit. Not only was it beautifully written with one of the more exotic music of that season (The Impossible Planet is also one of my favourite songs in the Series 2 soundtrack) with all that theology and the Doctor ranting about how he's met so many gods and people who think they're gods and etc, this was, overall, a very very very awesome episode.
But I also really love this eppy because ROSE TOTALLY KICKED ARSE.
What did Rose do in this episode? She didn't have the Doctor's long well-written dialogue about Gods and things that can't be 'before time', but what she did was, while the Doctor was downstairs being all ranty and ravey, take charge and get people to move when they wouldn't. She saved them. It gives me so much hope for her, it makes me glad she's working in Torchwood because in this episode she just exhibited herself as this great leader, with an innate ability to take charge.
And at then, to top it all off, at the end, SHE PWNED SATAN. WITH AWESOME.
CAN YOU PWN SATAN WITH AWESOME?
Even Jack didn't pwn Satan. He pwned Satan's son.
