This poor tree lost its roots to the Municipal workers. Bereft of its hold on land, the first rains and wind tipped it over.
This is the fate of many a tree on the streets of Mumbai. Careless digging into the streets to lay down storm drains have lead to a large number of trees falling over.
This tree fall, thankfully, did not lead to injury except to the NCST bus that was trying to park next to it. Others, I fear, may not have been so lucky.
