A bit of a change
I've been thinking about my stint with HEMS a lot lately. A+E is great, but I miss the adrenaline rush of actually being on the field. Being the first doctor to see the patient, sorting out all the life-threathening problems AND doing it all within an hour. So I'm going back for the next couple of months. (For those who don't know, HEMS have a policy of hiring for short times only, to avoid burn-out.) If it's anything like last time, I won't have any time or space for food or sleep (we normally manage alcohol though) so it's highly likely that I won't be around until I'm back here.
Don't worry Rose, I should be back before the birth. Alien twins! Wouldn't miss it for the world!
