I had the greatest idea ever for a little present for several of my B&N friends, but I think it might prove impossible. I thought of getting the Veronica Mars viewing crew Matchbox cars of Logan Echolls' Nissan X-Terra:
Sadly, I don't think they exist. It's essential that they are yellow, so I can't just get some random X-Terra (and I don't want to paint them by hand, thanks). But I don't think I'll find one, much less five.
We had a gathering for my mom's side of the family today. Yep. Sparkling pomegranate juice mixed with red wine is tasty, knitting (like reading) in the car makes me nauseous, and my cousin Maura, her mom my aunt Sebey, and Maura's daughter Caitlyn have all read Twilight. It's gone even more multi-generational. And that's what I learned today.
My brother and my mo will be back in Jersey on Saturday, just in time for me to miss them both, as I will be in North Jersey Friday night to early Sunday morning (Karena's Passing the Bar Celebration, hanging out with SPTP people, and A Winter's Tale). But both will be here for a little while, so it's not like I will miss them completely. It's then Spamalot on Sunday, an early Christmas present from my parents. Woot!
I've decided I'm buying myself an iPod if I don't get one for Christmas. I don't care about the cost anymore. I've wanted one for the longest time, and I can get the one I want for just over $200. So meh. :P
As for Christmas gifts, I'm only getting for family: mom, dad, brother, godparents. Two down, one half done, two to go. Oy.
And, as I've been keeping an eye on it off and on, apparently, Ridley Scott's take on the Robin Hood legend
Nottingham will have the Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood be the same guy (i.e. Russell Crowe). Originally, they had something about portraying Robin more as the clever trickster yeoman he was in the original ballads before the Earl of Huntington/Richard the Lionheart storyline came in. I'd rather see the latter, personally.
