It's Shakespeare's 444th birthday! It's also versailles_rose's birthday! So, of course, I'm quite jealous that her birthday lands on such a cool day. Have a great one, love. :)

I kicked ass yesterday. I spent about 5 hours doing yardwork, and now the patios and the yard are free of dead leaves/grass. Granted the borough sucks, because they had brush pick up on Monday (we were unlucky enough to have them come around the first day...), so all said leaves are on a tarp for another month, but it still looks a hell of a lot better. Next project? Clearing off the front slope so my house doesn't quite so much resemble Wuthering Heights.

Campus Buzz: Ressurection was on Friday, and Scotty P and I had so much fun. I wish we had a video camera in the studio to capture him dancing. But we do have a playlist! Prepare for the most cracked out four hours of WSOU programming ever:

U2 - "A Sort of Homecoming" (because it was)
Interpol - "NYC"
Weezer - "My Name Is Jonas" (that one was NOT my idea)
Johnathan Rice - "The Middle of the Road"
Morrissey - "Stop Me"
The Arctic Monkeys - "I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor"
Tiger Army - "Santa Clara Twilight"
Fiona Apple - "Shadowboxer"
The Misfits - "Dig Up Her Bones"
Isis - "Dulcinea"
Converge - "Concubine"/"Fault and Fracture"
Jeff Buckley - "Last Goodbye"
Joy Division - "Transition"
Bruce Springsteen - "Radio Nowhere"
Neko Case - "Pretty Girls"
Beck - "Jackass"
The B-52s - "Rock Lobster"
Lamb of God - "The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion"
Carla Bruni - "Quelqu'un M'a Dit"
Echo & the Bunnymen - "The Killing Moon"
The Postal Service - "Recycled Air"
Rage Against the Machine - "Calm Like a Bomb"
The Smithereens - "Blood and Roses"
Johnny Cash - "Delia's Gone"
Rilo Kiley - "With Arms Outstretched"
Pete Yorn - "Atlantic City/Murray (Live)"
Mastadon - "Iron Tusk"
Amy Winehouse - "Tears Dry on Their Own"
The Arcade Fire - "Wake Up"/"Keep the Car Running"
Pig Destroyer - "Scarlet Hourglass"
Depeche Mode - "I Feel You"
Josh Ritter - "Kathleen"
Sufjan Stevens - "John Wayne Gacy, Jr."
Mute Math - "Control"
Fiction Plane - "Cold Water Symmetry"
The Police - "Synchroncity II"
Ministry - "NWO"
Chris Cornell - "Seasons"
Flogging Molly - "Rebels of the Sacred Heart"
Radiohead - "Lucky"
Matt Nathanson - "Falling Apart"
Napalm Death - "Scum"
Sweeney Todd OST - "A Little Priest"
Rufus Wainwright - "Across the Universe"

As you can see, we had some fun pairing some pretty divergent artists together. While a lot of listeners were calling up and complaining the music wasn't normal, there were a lot who dug the change of pace. People even called up saying they liked the Carla Bruni! Haha! Also, I talked to one guy who was really excited we played Rilo Kiley, because he's a huge fan and it was the first time he'd ever heard them on the radio. So, obviously, he's awesome.

Too bad I have work today. It is BEAUTIFUL outside. Perhaps I'll sit outside beforehand and read Orlando (which, by the by, I believe I could have finished in one sitting last night if not for the need of sleep).
