Consider Joanna the General Washington and me the Cornwallis of teen fiction. I put up a good fight; it even looked like I might win. But, then - BOOM! Blindsided at Yorktown with the French in the harbor and the Yanks on my tail.

Pfft. While I do love me some Joss Whedon, he lacks an Edward or a Louis (who, while angsty, isn't teenage, but close enough). And that is a strike against the whole sha-bang.

I'm with you on Louis, but if it had him, it wouldn't be a show anymore, i'd just be a bunch of emo kids sitting in corners and complaining about how horrible the world is. Although taht would be amusing to me, i doubt it would be terribly profitable.
