A real update

Not too much to report in the world of me. I went to visit Denise in State College, PA, last week. We watched some Black Books and saw Matt Nathanson perform in the Weirdest Show Ever. Hehe. You know you love it.

Would it make you feel better to know I wasn't the one who came up with it?

i'm voting obama tomorrow in maryland's primary! although i get annoyed with all the hillary haters. is a strong female really that unnerving? is it really that pertinent that her hubby is a womanizer? i have yet to find a hillary hater who has a better reason than "i can't stand that woman" or that she rode her hubby's coat tails.

i just don't like her because she claims to have 30 years in public service ... but 20 of them were as a corporate attorney representing clients like wal-mart. not so much a woman of the people.

What you said pretty much surmises why I don't like her. She doesn't have nearly as much public service experience as she claims, and she worked on the board of Wal-Mart, one of the worst companies in America. I think she's disingenuous and manipulative. She's very intelligent, but without any kind of moral compass. She seems like the kind of person who wants power simply for power's sake and that scares the hell out of me.

I don't think she's ridden her husband's coattails - I think she's latched onto the coattails of many other people, much like her husband, actually. The other day on (I believe) 60 Minutes, she essentially took credit for the Civil Rights and Women's Lib Movements in the '60s and '70s. Instead of saying something like, "Thanks to the work of so many people throughout the years, Senator Obama and I are now in an unprecidented position", she said, "After all my hard work, etc ( ... )

Yeah. That's why I always end up saving up for trips ridiculously far in advance. But you should definitely come, too! Wandering randomly around European countries is always more fun with more people.

yea you gotta let me know what we're doing about staying there costwise cause i was discussing it with my mom again today and she's going to pay for half of my trip and she's not going for the whole package idea that you were telling me about. if for some reason that happends then we might just go to europe on our own next summer :(

Next summer as in 2009, right?

If we do that package deal, it probably won't come up for a while. Joanna and Justine know more about it than I do, so I'll try to talk to Joanna the next time I see her.
