Matt Nathanson was on Conan O'Brien last night! Our little Matty on national TV playing with the band. So, of course, I stayed up way past my bedtime to watch him rock out "Car Crash", only to find out when the show was almost over that you can
watch entire episodes online. But last night's show isn't up anyway, and it was Matt, so it doesn't matter! And he sounded great, and his hair was all fluffy again. :)
Plus, T-Minus 4 days until I schlep out to State College, PA, to visit Denise and see Matt perform! Which now means I will have seen him live in:
~Jersey
~New York
~D.C.
~Massachusettes
~Pennsylvania
As sad as it is that I'll have traveled that much just to see one artist perform, that's nothing compared with our dear Terri. ;)
~In other news, almost Superbowl time! *bounce* I don't care what the line is - I like the Giants' chances.
~Terry is randomly in town for his mom's birthday, which is all sorts of awesome.
~Lately I've taken to drawing little cartoons, usually my own versions of characters in Johnny Depp's movies, actually. I'm quite pleased with my Jack Sparrow, Sweeney Todd, and Mrs. Lovett, though my scanner died years ago, hence the non-posting.
~I'm so tempted to be maddeningly irresponsible and
order tickets to see Kenneth Branagh direct Jude Law in Hamlet in London next year.
silverthoughts did, and now I want to, too. Anyone wanna go with me? ;)
And on that note, I think I need more tea.
