Teitur - Sleeping With The Lights On No more sonnets. I'm posting them in
wordslikewind now.
Not much to say. I worked, ran some errands, played Play-Do with Maddy, and watched the first half of
the BBC Pride & Prejudice with Amy. It is quite adorable, I will readily admit. I've never seen it, nor have I read the novel (or any Jane Austen, for that matter). I guess I've always just been more interested in the Neo-Gothicism of 19th Century England rather than its sweet Romances and novels of manners. But Colin Firth's (*swoons*) Mr. Darcy reminds me much of Laurence Olivier's (*swoons*) Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, both in temperment and looks. Although it's pretty obvious that the former will not be horrible by the end and all will conclude happily, unlike in the latter. But, ah Sir Larry...what a pretty broody man you made. :)
Dammit, I really wish I had either Wuthering Heights or As You Like It on DVD.
Which reminds me! It looks as if
Branagh's As You Like It is done principle filming! And, while I am sad not to see Ken in a role, Alfred Molina is Touchstone! Branagh was rumored to be playing him, but I <3 Alfred Molina and completely approve. And Kevin Kline as Jaques could be completely ridiculous. I kind of expected him to play Duke Senior when I heard he was going to be in this (if he wasn't Touchstone, of course). It's interesting that they have Brian Blessed playing both Duke Senior and Duke Frederick. But I have every faith in Kenneth Branagh. *cough cough*despiteLove'sLaboursLost*cough cough*
Apparently I did have a lot to say. Damn literature film adaptations. ;)
