"The Irish been coming here for years/Feel like they own the place..."

I love that Bruce Springsteen described Bono as a shaman built like an ex-rugby player with one of the greatest messiah complexes in all of rock & roll. Because it's so true. But Bono is so aware of his own self love affair that it's part of why I love him. That and the fact that, despite his huge ego, he really gives a damn about the rest of humanity and does everything in his power to affect change. Plus, who else sings falsetto in rock & roll?

Okay, as a baseball fan, can I just say that the whole Congressional Committee on steroid use is ludicrous? When this country is embroiled in an unjust, unjustified mess of a war, this comes across as nothing more than a frivolous distraction to keep people from paying attention to the ineptitude and dishonesty of what's going on in Iraq. Yes, steroids are a problem in sports. I'll even concede that Major League Baseball has completely failed at curbing and controlling its use. However, does that mean Congress needs to investigate it, thus wasting tax dollars?

Oy...anyway, moving on.

I have an itching to make new icons. But I don't want to really get rid of the old ones. Nor do I want to waste even *more* money on paying LJ for more icon space. If anyone has a picture they want to be iconed, I could be persuaded to do it. Otherwise, I'll probably just make a bunch of U2 icons or something and put them up for grabs on u2.

I need to find another copy of "American Girl". I used to have four different versions of that song on my old computer (Tom Petty, Everclear, Goo Goo Dolls, matchbox twenty), but lost all of them when I got my new laptop. If I can get that, I can make that into a mixed CD, since I have all the other songs. Though I'm sure there are other songs which fit in those categories even better for me, I'm just too lazy to think of them.

Oh, and my headache went away finally. Just in time for bed. And it's five minutes to St. Patrick's Day! WOOT!
