Weekend

I know, it's premature by several days, but it's really all I can think about right now.

A very dear friend is visiting me this weekend (Joe, for those of you that've met him) and I'm terribly excited for it. His visit in December was the first we'd seen of each other in more than a year, and I'm glad beyond proper words that we've managed to reestablish steady contact. The extent of it the last year was mistimed phone calls and Facebook pokes. He's like my big brother, and I missed him, damnit.

He's arriving Friday, probably in the morning. I just might skip math to make sure he gets back to campus from the bus station without getting lost. Probably take him to my chem class with me, if he promises to behave :P

Gonna show him around campus and take him to eat in the cafs a couple times, maybe run into Okemos and go to the mall or something- make him play DDR, because no one's played with me in MONTHS and Chris doesn't play...I don't know, figure out some other stuff. I do have to work Friday and Saturday nights, but he and Chris are gonna hang out. They get along beautifully- they should, hell, they're only separated by 17 hours in age. Seriously. So I don't have to worry about coming back to one strangling the other, or dividing my time between them- we can all hang out this weekend ^_^. He has another friend to go visit at some point, too. But she can wait, it's been longer for us and I was here first, lol. The unfortunate thing is that his bus leaves Sunday at like 2:50. If he didn't have class Thursday nights, I'd just tell him to take the Thursday evening bus in so he could go to GS, too, and get some more time.

I hate having friends far away. I do. Though I guess it makes it easier to not get sick of them.

In other news, I figured out what to call the girl in my latest story I've been working on. Natalie. It fits well. I didn't even think about it until I was listening to "Natalie Marie and 1cc" by (guess who-) The Spill Canvas. Though the character isn't based on her at all. It'd be an interesting twist, sure, but no. I'm not a big fan of "turns out it was a dream" stories.

And I don't want any imaginary bitches from brain tumors, personally. From what I hear, they suck.

I'll post bits of it, possibly (probably) the whole thing as I get it written and edited to my standards.
