A word about moral disengagement: We found this pup running down Hall and Eastern and picked her up.
The 24 hours I spent with her were weirdly emotional for me. I could not turn on that most important of human tendencies: moral disengagement. When ever she cried, I cried, when she was awake and uncomfortable, so was I. And when I exhausted all other options and had to bring her to the Humane Society, I wept as I signed her little puppy life away. I hope someone adopts her. I hope they don't have nice carpet.
