So boyfriend left earlier today and we had (mostly) a fantastic weekend together. The day he came in we dressed up nice, went into the city, and promptly got our nice dinner plans owned by terrible traffic on the bridge. So we ate hot dogs (lol) fancily while sitting outside of the Golden Gate Theater, where we saw Beauty and the Beast which I enjoyed sooo much. I'd never seen it before but I knew that as l long as there was an amazing Gaston, it would be pretty much the best ever (and there was!). Also I might ship Cogsworth/Lumiere now. Just a little.
Friday we went off with some of my buddies to the Great America theme park, which was great and we road far too many rollar coasters. I actually got so exhausted I had to just sit the last ones out. It was great though, because school started a little while ago so there was NO ONE there for the longest time. My incredibly inappropriate friend from high school, R, and BF got along swimmingly, so that's always good.
Yesterday started good--went kayaking with my parents, and then things went abruptly downhill. Long story very short, my black lab Luna got sick because of something that BF and I were the fault of, and we were too scared to tell the truth to my parents, who we were worried would be irate (and because she didn't actually appear to have any ill effects until literally 6 or 7 hours later). When we had to come clean, they were both livid. We apologized profusely for being so irresponsible, did our best to explain ourselves, and I footed the vet bill. Now Luna is absolutely fine, but it was still really hard to go through, because A) I didn't want my BF to look bad to my parents, B) I put my dog's safety underneath my own selfishness. Anyway, it's definitely lesson learned, but that spoiled the rest of the night, I was so upset at myself.
So basically though most of the days were
, it also quite unfortunately was
a little bit as well.
Also, tomorrow is my last full day home before flying off to Halifax. I am literally freaking ouuuuuuut. :O
