(no subject)
fffuuuuu so one of my former coworkers got a better job at another store in the mall where we work, and when she gave them her two weeks notice, they let her go on the spot. Now I'm all freaked out that they're going to do the same to me when I give my own two weeks' in a couple of days. I really want those last few weeks, but I don't want to just not give them any notice, because I want to potentially come back to work for them over the holidays or next summer. What a huge pain. D:
Then again, I feel like they might like me more than her, they've given me more hours than her, and with her gone now they're REALLY understaffed, so maybe they won't just ditch me the same way. Hopefully. =/
In other work related news, I didn't do anything today except ring up literally a handful of people while reading the fourth Temeraire book, Empire of Ivory, which is really badass but not as cool as Throne of Jade or Black Powder War in my opinion. I still haven't finished it, but it has been a very stressful read. I was very concerned that Maximus or Lily would be killed off, which would have broken my heart. :O

so I'm almost finished with that book and have an eight hour shift tomorrow, so I'm not sure what I should do about that. Actual work? NAAAAAH
I like how I am convinced that they will not let me go immediately when I don't do anything. I'M SURE THIS WILL END WELL
