Didn't I tell you the Smokey Mountains would be awesome? Didn't I? Next time, you should check out Chimney Tops. It's a little more strenuous a hike, but the view is so worth it.

we camp in the park (tents, none of your high-falootin' cabins, sorry!) but sneak into the town...

Maybe you missed the pictures of the ice caked tents. :) We camped in the park for two days.

The cabin was just on the third night to chill out before our long journies home.

I'm about 10 hours away but you might be able to talk other ZS folks into it.

I do live in St. Louis. I thought you were talking about the smokey mountains. You just said "we camp in the park" but you didn't say what park. I assumed you were talking about the national park I was talking about.
