t/n: This one is for
lullabyeforyou. Hint: It has to do with
arashi_on. ;) [edit: I don't know what's with me and making mistakes lately, but there are two additional quotes from them on a separate page that I missed out the first time. They've been added to the bottom!]
With Koichi riding on Tsuyoshi's shoulders, both of them have huge smiles on their faces. "We often took pictures like this around the time of our debut ne." "So I've got to be on the bottom." "Oi oi, I said not to move." *laugh* When they move on to taking pictures by pressing the button for the shutter themselves, the way they jump and hop about really looks fun... Then amidst the smiles, the conversation begins.
Tsuyoshi: So, Koichi-san got a haircut as well. How do you find it?
Koichi: Why are you speaking as though we're doing an MC? *laugh* Yeah, it was what I'd resolved to do; to get it cut short. It's quite a change in image, isn't it? But you know, by getting my hair cut short all of a sudden, I surprised everyone by doing something unexpected. Tsuyoshi is always doing something or other out of the blue, so the people around us have gotten used to (his image changes). *laugh*
Tsuyoshi: Well, even for me, too. My current hairstyle surprised people. I received e-mails from my friends: things like, "Saw you on TV and was shocked!", and, "Not bad at all".
Koichi: I did get a surprise too... But then again, there are always pros and cons when one gets a change in hairstyle, aren't there!? People will have varying opinions such as, "The previous one was better", or, "This one suits you more". I've often been told (things like those).
Tsuyoshi: Ehh, next up, today's theme is 'spring', and there's nothing more 'spring' than graduation. Please tell us your thoughts on graduation, Koichi-san!
Koichi: Like I said, you're speaking as though this is an MC. *laugh* Ye~ah, honestly, I don't have a particularly strong impression. It's pretty much 'so I've graduated from high school too'.
Tsuyoshi: In that case, will you be making use of this opportunity to graduate from (being a) 'prince'? Announce it on a TV program or something, saying, "I'm going back to being a normal guy!" *laugh*
Koichi: That's impossible! The prince image is for life, you know. *laugh*
Tsuyoshi: And what should I do, I wonder? I've been saying this a lot lately, that I should probably graduate from negative (thinking/attitudes) after all. But then, there are a few self-centered aspects to being positive, so... It's more of (graduating to) 'becoming optimistic'.
Koichi: It's a mistake to ask us questions with 'spring' as the theme, you know. Our lives have no relevance to the sense of the season. Cherry-blossom viewing? I've no interest in flowers, and for the most part, (the season) is difficult for me because I'm weak against pollen. [t/n: In other words, he gets hay fever.] Yeah, my eyes have already started to get irritated. Well, I suppose it would be alright to go (for cherry-blossom viewing) just to let loose and have fun with everyone. *laugh*
Tsuyoshi: I'm the same too. What's more, on my side, the software for the RPG I really like has gone on sale [t/n: I think he means that it was just released for the PC as opposed to the discs for a game console.], so I don't think I'll be leaving the house for a while. *laugh*
Koichi: I don't leave the house~. A while back when my stageplay had just ended, I was told, "You have a 2-day break starting from tomorrow", but because it was so sudden, I didn't have the time to make any plans. In the end, I didn't go out and did some cleaning instead, then after that it was just sleeping all the way. And with that, my new year's break came to an end. Which reminds me, that car that I was recommending, did you decide to get it?
Tsuyoshi: I've been telling you since then, but I'm not going to buy it. It's the one that looks like it would be able to go really fast, isn't it? I said that I wasn't going to buy it!
Koichi: You know, more than the appearance of the car, what I like is the fun you have driving it, the mechanical aspects, the interior... That's why I was recommending it.
Tsuyoshi: And, this spring, I'd like to improve my guitar-playing.
Koichi: Hey you, you're changing the topic. *laugh*
Tsuyoshi: *Ignoring Koichi* Right now I'm really into 'playing (songs) by ear'. For example, I'll listen to music playing on the TV, then try to play it on the guitar right away. I guess the improvisational nature (of playing by ear) also makes it possible to turn any situation you happen to encounter while outdoors into a song. Koichi shall dance and I'll play the guitar. I don't think it would be a bad thing to present KinKi in this way from now on. That's because my dancing is no match for my partner's. Especially the Jazz-style dances; he definitely beats me in those.
Koichi: I don't think that's true. Tsuyoshi has his own brand of showmanship.
Tsuyoshi: Me, but I like hip-hop and
house-type (of dances). It's why I'm really good with the bridge parts of 'Yamenaide, PURE' and 'Jounetsu'. *laugh*
Koichi: That may be true, but I think that in a good way, it preserves KinKi's balance. As Tsuyoshi mentioned earlier, I'd like to try it, but it depending on the song, I could also be playing the guitar with Tsuyoshi dancing instead.
Tsuyoshi: Oho, I wonder if you'll let me make an appearance in SHOCK. There were black dancers, weren't there? May I request that you allow me to play that role? *laugh* Like the 'Yo! Yo!' kind of thing. I could see that their dance technique was amazing.
Koichi: Hahaha. But Tsuyoshi, really, though you come to the theater, you keep your eyes off me and just watch the other performers.
Tsuyoshi: To play that role... first, I'd have to paint my face black.
Koichi: Hey hey, before that, you'd have to rehearse the dance, no? *laugh*
Tsuyoshi: Uh... In that case, I'll keep my distance after all. *laugh*
-
Tsuyoshi: It's been decided that there'll be another run of SHOCK, hasn't it? I'll appear in it too, by going onstage doing an impression of
Inoki. *laugh*
Koichi: No chance of a performance like that. *laugh* And also, if you come to see (SHOCK), please give proper attention to my role too.
