These are sketches from Hampton Court Place from yesterday. It was my dad’s birthday so we had an EPIC day out that involved 6 trains. I tested my DAB radio and it turns out it gets great signal down on trains in the south. ¬¬ I don’t get a single bar in on trains in the midlands unless I sit in a vestibule.(that reminds me of a awesome comic you should try and find a copy of)

This guy was born a cartoon?

I actually drew these in a moleskine. I don’t usually use this brand because the paper is far too thin for anyone with a heavy hand (I destroy nibs at a accelerated pace). but Laura McNulty (well known for epic hair and occasional writer of comics) bought a moleskine from the Ghibli Museum in japan. I need to practice my location drawing and I realised I can draw in gel pen without much effect on the back of the paper (it does show though a bit - but thats ok for what I’m now using it for)

I stuck a bunch of stickers in the front - but I’ll photograph those later when I have more. MWAHAHAHAAA

This is my sister Lisa (bravest woman alive) and Laura in starbucks on the day after Laura returned from her year in Japan.

I’m very grateful for anytime spent with Laura. Noah and the Whale was playing in the coffee shop today, its like that band still persist in sound tracking my life even when I wasn’t very keen on their new album. Yeah, we have been meeting up to plot a new comic - got the rough thumbnails and character sheets done today :D

again - the Inspired Comics BLOG is up-to-date

giant aliens or tiny guitars?

This is for my entry for the Inspired SciFi anthology cover. I kinda wish the Giant Rhinos aliens had been purple now.

I’ve planned a wrap around background, but I’d like to do location drawing so (like all my comics where I stupidly set them in reality) it will take a bit longer to get it done. I wanted to draw the alien separate to make it easier to fix mistakes on either the alien or the background (most likely the background ^^; )
