yeh, I went to aviles in spain for the weekend. went to a comic festival as part of the comics course I'm doing. We had a amazing time. but I wont bother resizing loads of photos. I mostly just got buildings anyway. We sat doodling, met comic creators and got helpful feed back. There was exhibitions, talks and a tent full of amazing spainish comics (and not many in english). The weather was great and the town was lovely. The whole event was miles different to any comics events I've been to in the UK. We also got to meet people on the spainish version of our course and draw comics with them. .... so yeh ... amazing stuff all round.
errrr ... I just finished a card for church .... I hope its ok anyway. I've been keeping coloured stuff quite flat recently ... makes this kinda colouring a while to get into. :) I'm glad I can watch a movie while I colour. shaun of the dead is awesome XD;;;;
I've not had the manga jiman script yet ... so its not going to get entered .... might try and finish it anyway. but I've not even seen the completed script so I might try something else instead. I've been thinking about trying something suggested in Scott McCloud's Making Comics .... basically taking a scene from a movie and drawing it in comic form. just so I can focus on the pacing as part of developing a uni project. sounds fun to me. I'll probably pick something by John Hughes or Edgar Wright .... I can't decide tho. maybe I'll do a couple and just pencil things ... it is only for practice anyway. I might throw them up here if I finish them.
work is going well at the moment. I just hope it stays that way while I move house .... again.
