yeh, not much story this week - but I'm pleased with the 2 detailed panels. they took me a lot of time. Hopefully the characters are visually interesting enough to get you to come back next week to read more :S. The next page is actually resized and ready to go ... but I know the next couple of weeks are going to be busy so I want to stay far away from having to produce comics the night before.
I'm uploading early again, I just get a little fed up with waiting until 11amish. I've been up since 5am today ... which was probably a little dumb ... I might be going to the cinema late. but I've been having a pain in my right eye - so it might not happen. maybe tomorrow. yeh - I might get to see watchmen ... which is the obvious choice. I dunno what else is out.. I don't usually go to the cinema unless its someones birthday or I REALLY want to see a film - because my eyesight is so crappy.
I took watchmen out of the library ... not because of the film - but because of the presentation we did last week was all about superheros ... and my task was to try to find an American superheroine that doesn't fit the stereo type - a near to impossible task which had fairly depressing results. made it really obvious how sexist people can be. T___________T but I didn't have time to read watchmen and find out if there was a character I could include in the presentation ... and I've still not gotten round to reading it .... its pretty text heavy - which is the last thing I want to be reading after working 5am-10pm (I'm such an idiot)... so I went with Dust from New X-Men - because there was enough quick information about her online .... >.<;;; when I was researching made me want to read the House of M stuff... sounds interesting. I have plenty of comics to read .. so I shouldn't be buying more - but maybe one day.
But I have some good news I can announce now- Inspired Comics will be attending Small Press Expo 2009 in Bristol on the 9th May. its related to Bristol International Comics Expo :S but I think its the 1st time the small press has been split like this - hopefully it works out ok.
umm ... I'm busy this morning with packing for the weekend and inking/scanning work to do so I can work at home. I've not gotten round to taking a photo of the zine ... maybe next week or something .... so instead I will entertain you with this video my friends made - makes Midlands MCM Expo look lots and lots of fun ^________^ -
Click to viewnot too many comics at mcm .. but thats ok if you just collect mainstream manga .... but it is nice its like one big party ... I don't like the random glomps tho ;____; ... people make those dumb hugs signs* for a reason - so you know which people want to be glomped!
*I'm just annoyed because they use/waste the artists alley paper - not great for the environment with all the spelling mistakes left on the table at the end of the day.
