After the Oscars...

Feb 26, 2007 01:02

Today was quite a full day. Well, this whole weekend has been. Thursday after class i dicked around playing computer games until Sarah randomly showed up for lunch, leading me to not get to the library. Watched my Grey's Anatomy, of course. and OMG -- freaking amazing. I cried; tears a-fell. And then Friday I dicked around most of the day playing computer games again because I slept til 2pm, because I didn't fall asleep until like 6am. SUCKS! What the fuck is wrong with my body, seriously? When I'm fucking exhausted and can't sleep?! Argh.

So Saturday I spent the day doing some homework and helping my sister move for like 6 freaking hours. I'd left to go to the library at Towson, only to discover the library lady who spoke to my class lied to me, and it closed at 8pm on Saturdays, and not 12am, like she'd said. BULLSHIT. Today, Sunday, it didn't open until noon, and it was already gross out and my car handles BADLY in the snow. Hence partly why I didn't go hang out with a friend last night, who raged on my voicemail 5 consecutive times this morning, which just pissed me off.

So, today I spent cleaning. And got a little homework done; however, I can't find this story online by Peter Taylor, called "Mrs. Billingby's Wine", which he gave us a copy of which he discovered was apparently missing half the story. So, that sucks like whoa. But at least I got some reading done. And I got the kitchen clean, finally, HOORAH! It was gross. And Ian helped in scrubbing the toaster oven and a bunch of cooking pans/trays/cookie sheet things... awesome! (Rusty and Nina -- doesn't the kitchen look PRETTY!!! :) AND I got my bathroom clean, too. So, today was quite productive.

And then, we had a spageti dinner, and then... THE OSCAR PARTY!!!

So, who did I guess, and who won? I got 14 right!

my guess: Mark Wahlberg - The Departed (simply because I love him and wanted him to win)
the winner: Alan Arkin - Little Miss Sunshine

my guess: Borat Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
(even though I didn't know until today that it was adapted from Da Ali G Show)
the winner: The Departed
(which I totally should have seen coming)

Screenplay - Original
my guess: Babel
the winner: Little Miss Sunshine
(this was interesting -- because I guess Little Miss Sunshine, then changed it before the start to Pan's Labyrinth, and then was like, wait no, Babel, and so I should have never changed it, haha)

So yeah, Rusty won with 16 right, I got 14 , Ian got 12 , and Nina got 5. All in all, an enjoyable evening!

And I'm off to bed to get up early and try to get my car out of the grossness that is snow, which I am totally hatin' on, because it kept me from getting to the library today, and it can't keep me tomorrow. Stupid gen-ed classes and gay ass library treasure hunts. ARGH!!!
