[Max is sitting on his bed, legs drawn up, hugging them. He tossed the Dreamberry aside and now it's recording.

[No, he's NOT crying. Shadowhunters don't cry. Especially not about a brother who left, a brother who never even talked to him. He's not crying over his skinned knees or his cracked glasses - both a consequence of the same fall out side.

[Startled. Tries to swipe at his nose and face, all suave, before lifting his head. His broken glasses are almost off his nose, though, so he blinks at the blurry picture on the Dreamberry]

[Max nodded, making a concerted effort to push his glasses on straight and sit up a little taller, though his legs are still hugged to his chest because his knees sting]

I fell on the ice.

In Idris, I think.

My sister and my brother are here. [Swallows at the reminder that his older brother isn't]

But I'm nine and a half. [Swipes at his nose with his sleeve] I can take care of myself.

[Blinks]

You know a warlock too? Cool.

Really? You know Magnus? [Head tilt, eyes wide]

...And you live here now? Awesome! Did he give you Simon's room? Cause I live right down the hall!

Well, I live upstairs! I didn't know there was a bedroom downstairs. That's awesome.
